![]() The extension allows you to turn all the AAMC resources (passages and FLs) into the real MCAT format/layout. JW AAMC MCAT Interface Chrome Extension: This was my favorite course resource.I used this pretty heavily and did a couple hundred of the questions. I used Upangea for 1 day and I felt that it was not right for me. The Upangea passages in my opinion are better for content review. I really liked these and I think they are better than the Upangea passages because the logic / flow / style of questions are more similar to AAMC. MCAT Question Bank (Full Passages + Discretes):There are also science passages. These were pretty good, I used them from time to time, but focused mainly on AAMC passages. Daily CARS Passage:Everyone knows this. ![]() I want to highlight some good ones first before diving into the course. Using the JW course, my FL scores climbed steadily. I was also working full-time so using a course helped me stay on track and save me time. There were just too many resources (note, anki decks, etc) that I had a tough time focusing on what resources I needed to use.Īs someone who does not have a science background, I needed a course to help me target the concepts- tell me WHAT I needed to know, TO WHAT EXTENT I needed to understand it, and whether it was high/low yield. But the first time around, I didn't have a good enough grasp of the science concepts and my score suffered. I studied for both exams for around 6 months. As you can see, there is a SIGNIFICANT improvement. My new score (515 - 127/129/129/130) was using the JW course and AAMC materials only. This was my old score using AAMC material, KA Videos and Upangea. This course currently costs $1450 USD, so IT IS ALOT OF MONEY.ĭisclaimer: This represents my opinions only. I'm hoping to give back now to this community and provide a product review that others can reference and make an informed consumer decision. I took a huge risk when buying the course because there was no review. So I'm hoping this can be used to give future students an idea of the pros/cons before spending a lot of money on something that may not be right for them. Purpose: There are no existing reviews of this course online because it's not as popular as the bigger prep companies. I took the test this summer and prepared using only the JW course and with AAMC materials. This is a review of the Jack Westin Full Course (Science + CARS). /r/GAMSAT - Australian & UK Medical school Admission Test.P/S = Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior (Tentative) AAMC Sample FL Score ConversionĬ/P = Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological SystemsĬARS = Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skillsī/B = Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems # Correct -> Scaled Score Converter for AAMC Material These posts will be removed and the user banned without warning, subject to the discretion of the mod team Learn MoreĪll of the above rules are subject to moderator discretion High Yield MCAT Links You have signed an examinee agreement, and it will be enforced on this subreddit.ĭo not intentionally advertise paid or free products or services of any sort.
